Obituary of Abby Walk

Teresa Abigail “Abby” Walk, 43-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO gained her wings and went home to Jesus on Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born December 9, 1977 in Clinton County, MO to Jewel (Bland) Lovins of Doniphan and the late Harry Lovins, Sr. Abby was a pre-K teacher with the Doniphan R-I School District. Her students and staff loved her and knew she loved them as well. Abby was a loving and caring person who always wore a smile and made time for important things in life: family, church, and friends. She was a true gem with a heart of gold. Abby attended First Church of God in Doniphan. She enjoyed being in the outdoors and when inside, she liked to crochet and watch The Golden Girls. On April 29, 2006, Abby married Perry Walk in Doniphan. He survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Maria (Joshua) Drwenski, Courtney Walk, and Amanda (James) Hughey; brothers, Harry Lovins, Jr., Jeremiah (Melissa) Lovins, Roy Lovins, and Tracy Lovins; one grandchild, Milah Ray; nieces, Jessica, Tammy, Paris, and Emily; one nephew, Bobby; and one great-niece, Athena. In addition to her dad, Abby was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Sherry; niece, Autumn; and nephew, Skylar. Visitation will be at the First Church of God in Doniphan on Saturday, September 25, 2021 starting at 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:30. Pastor Greg Mason will be officiating. Graveside services will be held in Hunt-White Memorial Gardens.
