James Norman Luter, 72-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Monday, November 8, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born May 8, 1949 in Doniphan to the late Noeal and Bobbie (Brooks) Luter.
James had been a truck driver. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a part of the 101st Airborne and was a member of VFW Post #3485.
On June 30, 2011, James married Lorry Youngcourt. She survives. Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Stacy Korman; nephews, Kelly (Kathy) Barnett and Kent (Donna) Porterfield, all of St. Louis; and a sister, Barbara Jo Barnett, also of St. Louis.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Northside Church Cemetery in Maynard, AR.
