Obituary of Linda Carol Jackson

Linda Carol Jackson, 77-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born March 29, 1945 in Ripley County to the late Wylie B. and Katheyne J. (Johnson) Harvey.

Linda was a kind and gentle person who cared deeply about others. Linda had very little "blood family" but had many whom she chose and who in turn chose her as family.  She was especially close to her neighbors, the Laughlin family, and she truly loved them as if they were related.  Linda was a long-time member and Deaconess of First Christian Church in Doniphan where she was well known for her commitment and also for her humor.  She was an example of practicing "don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing' and was instrumental in staying in touch with homebound and inactive members.  The church was true family for her.  She also loved and was loved by "the gang" at Ripley County Transit and made her trips on the transit vans fun for all.    She provided a great home for her many dogs over the years and loved them very much. Linda also loved getting out and going to yard sales.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Poynor Cemetery with Pastor John Harwell officiating.
