Obituary of Jenny Starkey

Opal Virginia Faye Starkey, “Jenny”, 78-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was born December 28, 1943, in Gary, TX to the late Marion F. and Opal H. F. (Simon) Fleetwood. Jenny was active in the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and enjoyed playing Bingo.

 

On March 28, 1969, Jenny married Lloyd G. E. “Gene” Starkey in Doniphan. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1984. In addition to her parents and husband, Jenny was also preceded by her son, Scott Starkey, and a brother, Billy Fleetwood.

 

Surviving is her daughter, Stacy Starkey of Doniphan; brothers, Paul “Bob” Fleetwood, Kenneth Fleetwood, and Jimmy Fleetwood, all of Doniphan; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Nathen, Emily, and Elizabeth.

 

Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2022, in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel beginning at noon with the funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Kent Harding will be officiating. Burial will be in Elizabeth Cemetery.
