Obituary of C. H. Colburn
Charles Harrison “C. H.” Colburn, 69-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Friday, September 9, 2022. He was born September 19, 1952, to Clint and Geneva (Merritt) Colburn.
C. H. had retired from Briggs and Stratton. He liked to go fishing and hunting. He had served on the Ripley County Fair Board. C. H. attended Bethlehem Baptist Church and did his best to set a Christian example.
On August 21, 1982, C. H. married Janice Payne on the banks of Current River. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Jason (April) Colburn, Heather (Todd) Leadbetter, Brad (Linda) Wheeler, and Greg (Christy) Wheeler; his sisters, Carrie Bingham of St. Louis, MO and Dian Decker of Doniphan; and brothers, Sam (Panoply) Colburn of Memphis, TN and JR (Jeannine) Colburn of Doniphan. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
C. H. was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Kay Colburn.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Billy Davis officiating. Burial will be in Towles Cemetery.
