Obituary of Wanda Nell Murphey

Wanda Nell Murphey, 82, of Jonesboro, AR, departed this life Thursday, January 13, 2023. She was born June 10, 1940, in Turkey, TX to the late Oscar and Ola May (Lee) King.

Wanda had worked in sales. She attended Grace Community Church in Jonesboro.

Surviving are her son and daughter, Sandy Murphey and Andy Murphey, both of Doniphan; a sister Ola May Cukr of Dana Point, CA; a brother, Clarence King of Bakersfield, CA; three grandchildren, Nick Murphey, Tyler Murphey, and Kaylin Murphey; and two great-grandchildren, Haven Murphey and Malaki Murphey.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by a son, Danny Murphey; a sister, Ruby Rowan; and her brothers, Jimmy King, Junior King, Roy King, and Robert King.

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 16, 2023, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Nevin Gnagey will be officiating, and burial will be in Union Cemetery.
