Monte Bedford "Junior" Dilbeck, Jr., 72, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mr. Dilbeck, son of Monte and Rubye (Spencer) Dilbeck, Sr., was born December 25, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He retired as a factory worker with Vitronic Manufacturing. Mr. Dilbeck, an avid reader, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
On September 17, 1960, he was married to Judy Hastings in Ripley County, Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are three children: Monte Z. Dilbeck and Rhonda Batton, Mechelle Johnson and David Beardsley and Djuana and Gerald Taylor, all of Doniphan; one sister, Deborah and Larry Addis of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; five grandchildren, Monique and Traviss Conn, Nickolett Johnson and Paul, Levi and Katelynn Taylor, Zachary Taylor and Heath and Jessica Casteel; and eight great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Logen, Kaedyn, P. J., Khyra, Makenzie T., Makenzie C. and Jaylene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monte and Rubye Dilbeck, Sr., and one brother, David Dilbeck.
Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in Shirley Cemetery.
