Obituary of Roland Randel Miller

Roland Randel Miller, 97-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born April 11, 1926, at Current View, MO, to the late Oliver and Ivy (Draper) Miller.

 

Roland had been employed at Vitronic in Doniphan and Continental Can in St. Louis. An avid fisherman and hunter, Roland liked to spend time in the woods or on the river. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and Three Rivers Raiders Basketball. With 97 years of life, Roland had many stories to tell, and he loved to share them. He also liked to refinish furniture. Roland had served in the United States Army during World War II.

 

Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Elma Miller; all of his siblings, Edith Hansen, Millie Stidham, Marion Sipole, Carroll Miller, Bedford Miller, and Edwin Miller; and stepchildren, Yvonne Dale Kepley, and Dean Odom.

 

Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Miller, Nancy Miller, and Diane Miller; stepchildren, Danny Odom, Jackie McCord, and Tim Odom;and special neighbors, Von and Sharon Pigg; and his grand fur babies, Snicker, Penny, and Lola.

 

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
