Obituary of Clifton Davis, Sr.

Clifton Davis, Sr., 91, of Gatewood, MO, departed this life Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born October 27, 1931, in Mississippi, to the late Sim and Vada Davis.

Clifton had worked on offshore oil rigs. He enjoyed farm life in Oregon County which included breaking horses. He also liked fishing and hunting. He was a great dad to his five children.

Clifton and his wife, Dorothy Davis, had celebrated 50 years of marriage before her passing on March 16, 2019.

Surviving are his children, Clifton Davis, Jr. of Gatewood, Rachel Davis of St. Louis MO, Donald Welch of Doniphan, Rhonda Hanson of Buckatunna, MS, Glenda McIntyre, and Bill Henderson of Texas. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A Memorial visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Brother Ron Elston will be officiating services.
