Obituary of Marilyn Sue Menard

Marilyn Sue Menard, 77-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born February 12, 1946, in Noblesville, IN, to the late Charles William and Dorothy Deniece (Haskett) Tierney.

Marilyn had worked in the screen department at Filtertek in Hebron, IL for many years. As a homemaker, she was an excellent cook, and her family knew they were in for a treat when she was standing at the stove or putting one of her creations in the oven. Marilyn also enjoyed sewing and was a skilled seamstress.

On June 6, 1964, Marilyn married Rex Menard in Westfield, IN, and he survives. Also surviving are her children, Dawn Parker of Doniphan, Rodney Menard of Harvard, IL, and Misti Menard of Freeport, IL; a sister, Shirley Carey of Noblesville, IN; and her grandchildren, Kylie, Nicholas, Evan, Aiden, Ashton, Autumn, Clayton, and R. J.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also preceded in death by her brother, John Tierney.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, also at Edwards Funeral Home, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
