Obituary of Kelli Rae Watson

Kelli Rae (Smith) Watson, 41-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was born June 23, 1982, in Doniphan, to Kenny Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO and Carla (Tom) Fisher of Poplar Bluff.

Kelli was a sweetheart in every sense of the word. She had a beautiful smile and a hug to match. She had a sweet and caring nature and was kind-hearted, making her a special friend to many. Kelli liked to go hunting. She enjoyed being organized and had a knack for it. Her favorite pastimes included listening to music and aggravating Pop. The most important people in her life were her children and grandbabies whom she adored and loved dearly.

Surviving are her children, Landon (Addison) Watson, Audrey Watson, and Cole Watson, all of Doniphan; a sister, Jessica Meloy of Silva, MO; a brother, Danny Robertson of Claremore, OK; and two grandchildren, Kannon and Kashtyn. Also surviving are her paternal grandparents, Barbara (Glenn) Francis of Poplar Bluff; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, June and Joe Watson of Doniphan; the father of her children, Mickey Watson of Doniphan; and sister-in-law, Christi (Robert) Kirby, also of Doniphan.

Kelli was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilma and Oscar Morgan, Bill Smith, and Bonny Davis.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 21, 2023, beginning at noon, with the funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Jim Davis will be officiating the services, and burial will be in the Handy Cemetery.
