Obituary of Jerry Nowak

Thomas Gerald “Jerry” Nowak, 79-year-old resident of Fairdealing, MO, departed this life Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.  He was born November 24, 1944, in Doniphan, MO, to the late Leo and Mary (Zambruski) Nowak.

Jerry had been a heavy equipment operator and owned and operated a sawmill. He loved the outdoors and fixing machinery. His favorite and most cherished time was the time spent with his family and doting on his grandchildren. Jerry had served in the Missouri National Guard and was of the Catholic faith attending St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer (Matt) Morin of Fairdealing and Amanda (Trae) Allison of Southaven, MS; a sister, Patricia Aretha of Howell, MI; and three grandchildren, Adrianna, Cayden, and Blakely.

Jerry was preceded in death by six sisters, Leona, Dorothy, Bernadine, Catherine, Florence, and Ramona, and his brothers, George, Jim, and John.

A memorial visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
