Obituary of Mary King

Mary Lee King, 91-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born April 28, 1932, in Portageville MO, to the late William Andrew and Mammie (Jones) Conder.

 

Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed making her home warm and welcoming to all who entered.  She liked to sew, cook, and work on crafts. Saturdays were a day she looked forward to and was a favorite outing getting her hair done. Mary also liked to go on shopping sprees. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

 

On March 1, 1975, Mary married Darel King in Caruthersville, MO. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2013. She was also preceded by a son, Larry Jethal McMillen, sister, Christine Poe, and brother, Carl Westfall.

 

Surviving are her sons, Billy (Beckey) McMillen of Doniphan and Jack McMillen of Park Hills, nine grandchildren, Angelaina Ayers, Tammy Dudley, Cynthia Chilton, Jennifer Skaggs, Jarred McMillen, Jamie McMillen, Melissa Lane, William McMillen, and Cory McMillen, along with several great-and great-great-grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, beginning at noon with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Doniphan City Cemetery. Pastor Callum Reavey will be officiating.
