Obituary of Clemmie Holland

Clemmie Iola Holland, 87 year-old resident of Ripley County, Missouri, died Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Holland was born August 4, 1924, in Ponder, Missouri, to the late Roy and Eathel (Hudson) Murdock. She retired from Vitronic in Doniphan and was a housewife. She was a member of the Ponder Church of Christ. Mrs. Holland loved gardening, quilting, her church and family. On January 30, 1946, at Pocahontas, Arkansas, she married Mr. Dewey Golden Holland. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2007. Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Mike) Cochran and Pam (Gene) O'Neal both of Doniphan; one sister, Judy Hinton of Doniphan; three brothers, Cleo Murdock of Springfield, Virginia, Lyndal Murdock of Sullivan, Missouri, and Jim Murdock of Doniphan; 3 grandchildren, Greg O'Neal, Christy Cannon and Cindy Barnett and 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler O'Neal, Caden Cannon, Abby Cannon, Livia Barnett and Falyn Barnett; and special friends, Rica and Nicole. Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sandra Jo Holland, one brother Bob Murdock, and one sister, Sybil Hudson. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Gatewood Cemetery.
