Obituary of Carrie Louise Hyde

Carrie Louise (Smalley) Hyde, 38-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born January 17, 1986, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to the late Albert W. and Nancy J. (Moore) Smalley.

Carrie had served the Doniphan, Ripley County, and Carter County areas as a dispatcher. Her kind and caring personality made her a perfect fit for this calling. Her quick wit and great sense of humor brightened the day for all around her, even during difficult times. Carrie was a cherished coworker who was deeply loved and will be missed by family, friends, coworkers, and those in the communities in which she served. She loved her animals and filled her home with pets of all kinds. She also enjoyed and cherished the time spent with her husband, Jeff. She liked to preserve precious memories by scrapbooking.

On January 17, 2021, Carrie married Jeffery Hyde, and he survives. Also surviving is her stepson, Alexander Hyde of Poplar Bluff, MO.

A memorial visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from noon to 2:00 p.m.
