Obituary of Nona Faye Lehenbauer

Nona Faye Lehenbauer, 85-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, April 18, 2024. She was born December 9, 1938, in Ripley County, MO, to the late Chloe Aubrey “Sonny” and Christine (Webb) Rawlings.

 

As an interior designer, Nona used her expertise to create an aesthetically pleasing blend of décor and space in a variety of settings. In contrast to this vocation, Nona was also employed for some time on an ostrich ranch. After she and her husband retired, they moved from their home in Midland, TX to Ripley County to enjoy a slower pace and to be closer to family. She was of the Methodist faith.

 

Nona was married to Kay Francis Lehenbauer. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2023. She was also preceded by a son, Kent F. Lehenbauer, and brothers, Sonny and Rick Rawlings.

 

Surviving is a son, Gary Lehenbauer of Doniphan, and two brothers, Bill Rawlings of Doniphan and Joe Rawlings of Kansas City, as well as a granddaughter, Stephanie Lehenbauer.
