Obituary of Anna Hodo

Anna Lee Hodo, 87, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Hodo, daughter of Charles and Addie (Robinson) Miller, was born January 13, 1925, in Calm, Missouri. She worked as a bomb builder during the end of World War II. Mrs. Hodo then became a housewife and was a member of the Doniphan First Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was married to Pal Hodo in 1946 at Doniphan and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1994. Surviving are three sons; Raymond Hodo, Dennis (and Jean) Hodo and Mike (and Ruby) Hodo, all of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Diane Garrett and Rae Hodo; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Garrett, Brandi Garrett and Malakai Hodo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Addie Miller, her husband, Pal Hodo, one son, Robert Charles "Bob" Hodo, three sisters, Loretta, Vida and Georgia, and three brothers, Dailey, Bailey and Charles J. Visitation for Mrs. Hodo will be Monday, March 19, 2012, starting at noon at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Phelps officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Doniphan First Baptist Church or the ALS Association.
