Obituary of John Micheal Burris

John Micheal Burris, 66-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He was born June 13, 1958, in Tulsa, OK, to the late James H. Burris and Phyllis Loraine (Harris) Burris.

John was an outdoorsman who enjoyed working on his farm and raising animals. He found joy in nature, whether he was deer hunting or fishing, always cherishing the tranquility of the great outdoors. John’s love for life extended to his friendships, and he relished moments spent attending concerts or working on trucks.

Surviving are his siblings, Ruth Micalizio of Doniphan, and James Burris of Arlington, TX, and his sweetheart, Christy Davis of Doniphan.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.

A memorial service will be held at the family farm at Deer Camp, which is located at the intersection of Ripley 142E-24 and Ripley 142E-24A, at the red gate, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. followed by dinner at the VFW Post at 5:00 p.m.
