Praying for the family to find the peace and comfort that God provides to the faithful. I have so many wonderful memories of Wayne and Marilyn from my early years. Wayne and his father, Joe, hunted with Daddy, and we all worshipped together at the Doniphan church of Christ. When our family moved to Alabama, Edith opened her home to us many times, and Wayne and Marilyn were always nearby to visit. True friendships, even when separated by many miles, remain.

On one of my visits to the Rush Farm I found Wayne in the lower field cutting hay. Well he stopped the tractor and we were talking. Over the hill came Marilyn on the JD at a high rate of speed, and sild to a stop, she had brought Wayne ICE CREAM!!! on a hot June day. I looked at Wayne and ask whats this? He just said "well you have to train them right".

Mr. Rush impacted so many students in school and in the church. His love for the Lord was easy to see. A very respected man by all. We are sending up many prayers and much love for all of Wayne’s family. What a joyous celebration he must have had in Heaven on Christmas Day. We pray you all receive comfort and strength from the Lord. We are so very sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love to Marilyn, Lori & Paul, Lindsey & Ryan, Logan & Mackenzie, the grandchildren, and entire family.

As an SRO at the Doniphan High School. I met Wayne and we became friends and hunting buddies. We rode four wheelers in the mountains and fished the Eleven Point River. And as we would do all these things. Wayne was leading me to Christ, by the way he lived his life, and cared for his family. I morn his death but rejoice knowing his pain has passed and is now with the lord. My prayers are now with the family left behind. God be with Marilyn and give her comfort, for she loved, and care for Wayne during all the good times and bad times until his departure. Amen
