Chloa Mae Emmons
Chloa Mae Emmons, 97, of Ripley County, Missouri, died Monday, April 2, 2007, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Mrs. Emmons was born January 27, 1910, in Ripley County, Missouri. She was a lifetime resident of the county and was a charter member of Fairview Church of God. She had volunteered for more than 20 years with the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Emmons worked for Fairview Schools and Vitronic in Doniphan before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and gardening.
On June 18, 1927, she married Jerry Earl Emmons in Ripley County. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1984.
Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Emmons Snodgrass of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one son, Irvin Emmons of Doniphan; five grandchildren, Melissa Welch, Jana Emmons, Michelle Hessling, Gary Snodgrass and Steve Snodgrass; six grandchildren, Patrick Snodgrass, Amy Jo Snodgrass, Matt Snodgrass, Jack Snodgrass, Lee Snodgrass and Michael Emmons; and two great-great grandchildren, Mason and Madelyn Snodgrass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Etta Johnson Edmonds; one son, Everett Emmons; one sister, Marion Holt; and four brothers, Dale Edmonds, Mike Edmonds, Joe Edmonds and Charley Edmonds.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2007, at the funeral home with Pastor John Welch officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Church of God Cemetery.
