Obituary of Hilda Martin

Hilda Martin, 90 year old resident of Doniphan, MO died Monday July 2, 2012 at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mrs. Martin was born August 15, 1921 in Poyner, Missouri to the late Willie and Celia Pennington Magruder.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, baking and spending time with family and friends.
She was married to James Ishmael Martin on November 7, 1942 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He preceded her in death February 11, 1969. Also preceding her in death was one daughter, Bonnie Joyce Hastings; one brother, Ward Deford Magruder; and one sister, Lila Irene Dennis; and one great-granddaughter, Ashlee Rae Hutcheson.
She is survived by one brother, Arriel Clifton Magruder of Decatur, IL; and one sister Buren Elaine Pierce of St. Charles, MO; two grandchildren, Nancy Yates and her husband Billy of White House, TN; and Lorna Hutcheson and her husband Lafe of Bridgeport, WV; and five great-grandchildren, Cody Hutcheson, Cordell Hutcheson, Michaela Hutcheson, and Mackenzie Hutcheson of Bridgeport, WV; and Grayson Yates of White House, TN. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held at 11:00 A.M. Steve Sanders will officiate and burial will be in the Poyner Cemetery.
