Henry Floyd Clifton, 58, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at his residence in rural Doniphan. He was formerly of Granite City, Illinois. Mr. Clifton, son of Harry Clinton and Anne Eldora (Huffman) Clifton, was born June 30, 1954, in East St. Louis, Illinois. He had been a welder. Mr. Clifton was a veteran of the U. S. Army and enjoyed fishing and camping. Surviving are two daughters, Misty Clifton of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and Megan Hastings and husband, Larry, of Doniphan, Missouri; his mother, Anne Clifton of Doniphan; his partner, Connie Hastings of Doniphan; three sons, Terry Lynn Hastings, Austin Copeland and Larry Joe Hastings, all of Doniphan; six sisters, Carolyn Gambling of Fairdealing, Missouri, Connie Gambling of Oxly, Missouri, JoAnn McKnight of Benld, Illinois, Vickie Gray of Troy, Missouri, Louise Knight of Malden, Missouri, Linda Blankenship of Paragould, Arkansas, and Mary Jackman of Doniphan; three brothers, Kenny Clifton and David Clifton, both of Doniphan and Orvil Clifton of Arkansas; one grandchild, Cody Rector; and one special uncle, Ricky Wagner. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Clifton, one sister, Nancy Morton, and one grandson, Haidyn Hastings Visitation for Mr. Clifton will be Saturday morning, September 22, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany Cemetery in Malden with full military honors.
