Ms. Annie Pauline Burton, of Doniphan, passed from this world into the next on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Burton, formerly Annie P. Freeman of Stringtown, was born April 8, 1920, to Reverend George and Cora Freeman. She was a member of the Doniphan First Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a Foster Grandparent in Michigan Schools when she retired.
She was married to Artis Burton in 1948, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He and three of her four sons, Larry, Artis, and James preceded her in death.
Survivors include her one remaining son, Ronald (Pat) Duncan, one daughter in law, Janett, of Williamsburg, Virginia, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
After a brief memorial in Doniphan, at the First church of God, her final resting place will be in Three Oaks, Michigan, alongside her husband, Artis.
The memorial service in Doniphan will be Friday, November 16, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God with Reverend Larry Bashaw officiating.
