Lyman Coleman Tucker, 92, of Ellsinore, Missouri, died Monday, November 26, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Tucker was born June 5, 1915, at Tucker, Missouri, to the late Alton Tucker and Flora Henderson Tucker. He retired from the U. S. Forest Service after 40 years of employment and enjoyed fox-hunting.
On March 17, 1936, he was married to Laura "Peggy" Hubbard at Doniphan, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 1, 1996. He was married to Dorothy Russell on December 12, 1997, and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rowena Joyce Hobbs of Poplar Bluff and Rhudy Jean Slaughter of Ellsinore; two sisters, Vesta Redus of Doniphan and Ruth Roberts of Corvales, Oregon; seven grandsons and one grand-daughter; seventeen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 29, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob Featherston officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery
