Samuel March, 83, of Naylor, Missouri, died Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. March, son of Riley and Ethel (Smith) March, was born December 27, 1928, in Middlebrook, Arkansas. He had been a die cast machine operator. Mr. March enjoyed gardening and yardwork.
On July 21, 1969, he was married to Ruby J. Whitson in Oregon, Illinois, and she survives.
Also surviving are nine children; Lynn March, Dalton March and Claudretta Littrell, all of Doniphan, Missouri, Harold Whitson of Devil's Lake, North Dakota, Giles A. Whitson, Jr., of Rockford, Illinois, Zane I. Whitson of Port Orchard, Washington, Anna Mae Maultsby and Linda M. St Romain, both of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Sharon K. Whitson of Naylor; two brothers, Russell Lee March of Reyno, Arkansas, and Zenith March of Pollard, Arkansas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Rose Ann March and Alden March; one sister, Rachel Foster; and two brothers, Orville March and Frank March.
Visitation for Mr. March will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mike March officiating. Burial will be in Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes, Illinois.
