Clara Elizabeth Bollenbacher died Monday, December 10, 2007, at Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, Missouri.
Mrs. Bollenbacher was born April 24, 1923, at Doniphan, Missouri, and lived most of her life in Ripley County. She was a member of the First Church of God in Doniphan where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She lived her life serving others.
On February 14, 1946, in Doniphan, she was married to William Floyd Bollenbacher. He preceded her in death September 30, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Rev. Robert A. and Myrtle (Garrison) Owens; three brothers, Morgan Owens, Carl Owens, and Ray Owens; and one sister, Ruth (Owens) Heerlein.
Surviving are two children, Cheryl K. Bass and son-in-law, Charles D. Bass of Doniphan and Wayne R. Bollenbacher and daughter-in-law, Linda K. Bollenbacher of Edmond, Oklahoma. Also surviving are two grandsons, Shaun and Sam Bass of Doniphan and one sister, Jean (Owens) Adams of Pittsfield, Illinois.
Visitation for Mrs. Bollenbacher will be Thursday, December 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Church of God and the memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Larry Bashaw officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the First Church of God in Doniphan.
