Obituary of Jessie Faries

Jessie Mae Faries, 95, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. Faries was born November 29, 1912, in Doniphan. She had retired as a sales clerk with Stix, Baer and Fuller. Mrs. Faries was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing beadwork.
On April 3, 1930, she was married to Herbert L. Faries at Doniphan. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1973.
Mrs. Faries is survived by one daughter, Bonnie (and Charles) Johnson of Doniphan; two sisters, Ruth Hodo of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Marjorie Young of West Memphis, Arkansas; two brothers, Kit Featherston of Doniphan and Earl Featherston of Lake Charles, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse A. Featherston and Rozetta Ponder Featherston, one daughter, Betty Grace, two sisters, Edna Elrod and Mary Bigler and two brothers, Marvin Featherston and Lindell Featherston.
Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2008, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Bob Featherston officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
