In memoriam: Blanche Enderwood I did not have the opportunity to meet you, Blanche Enderwood, but through the eyes of your granddaughter, Rachel, I see what a beautiful, caring, loving and gracious person you were. It is said “A great revolution of character in an individual will help achieve a change in the destiny of a nation and further, will cause a change in the destiny of all humankind.” You have caused such a positive change in your granddaughter life; hence, your legacy will live on in perpetuity. Now, we bit you our final goodbyes to this life, sad though it may be, I am confident that through Rachel, we who are fortunate to know her, will continue to celebrate your life. “How swiftly the days pass! It makes us realize how few are the years we have left. Friends enjoy the cherry blossoms together on spring mornings, and then they are gone, carried away like the blossoms by the winds of impermanence, leaving nothing but their names. Although the blossoms have scattered, the cherry trees will bloom again with the coming of spring.” Farewell for now.

I remember one New Years Eve that I spent with my friend Rachel, Blanche's granddaughter. It was the first time I actually met Blanche, and she made a lasting impression on me. Rachel, another friend of ours and I sat and talked with her for several hours. In that time, I got to hear quite a few humorous stories and anecdotes from Mrs. Enderwood. She was witty and wise, and truly had a grasp on what it meant to live life the way God intended us to; enjoying every minute. I only saw her a few times after that, but I remember each time fondly. She was a truly one of a kind person, and she will be missed. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you all now. I hope that in this time of darkness you will draw light and strength from the memories that you have and the love that you shared. Peace be upon you. Paul Harrop Oklahoma City
