Obituary of Ima Hunt

Ima Lee Hunt, 83, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mrs. Hunt, daughter of Mart and Byrd (Klenn) Cronin, was born September 14, 1929, in Gatewood, Missouri. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hunt enjoyed gardening and cooking and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Ima Lee was also an active member of the Ripley County Women's Democratic party and liked bowling and the St. Louis Cardinals. On November 10, 1947, she was married to Chester R. "Check" Hunt in Corning, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1999. Surviving are two children; Kenneth "Kenny" (and Leita) Hunt of Gatewood, Missouri, and Tamma Hunt and her husband, Marshall Rudolph, of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Alma Jean Gutweiler; 3 grandchildren, Kamron (and Haley) Hunt, Kasey (and Jessica) Hunt and Kensey Hunt; and three great-grandchildren, Brody Hunt, Harper Hunt and Miley Hunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mart and Byrd Cronin, her husband, Check Hunt, one brother, Dwaine Cronin, and one granddaughter, Kaley Ann Hunt. Visitation for Mrs. Hunt will be Saturday evening, February 23, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place on Sunday afternoon, February 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Bruce Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
