Pearl Hay Pearl Davis Hay, 90, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan. She had spent most of her life in Ripley County and was the oldest of 13 children. Mrs. Hay was born April 22, 1916, at Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was a housewife and she especially enjoyed cooking and sewing. Mrs. Hay was a member of the Oak Ridge Church of God. On December 28, 1935, she was married to Clarence A. Hay in Parma, Missouri. He preceded her in death in February, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Davis and Etta Hon Davis; one sister, Anis Davis Parks; and three brothers; Fred Davis, Curtis Davis and her twin brother, Earl Davis. Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons; Clarence "Oz" (and Elaine Hayes ) Hay of Sikeston, Missouri, and Billy W. (and Carol Price) Hay of Doniphan; three grandchildren; Daniel S. Hay and family of Rockford, Illinois, Sherry Hay McCoy and family of Pelham, Georgia, and Daryl W. Hay of Russelville, Alabama; five sisters; Vinita Adams of Dyer, Indiana, Elsie (and Wilburn) Hughes of Doniphan, Ola Webb of Kansas City, Kansas, Dorothy (and Vernon) Cline of Maynard, Arkansas and Francis Nesler of West Union, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, March 22, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob Featherston officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Current River Nursing Center activity fund in Doniphan.
