Boyd Ray Ingram, 73, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at his residence in rural Doniphan.
Mr. Ingram, son of Boyd and Lola (Tyler) Ingram, was born August 11, 1939, in Doniphan. He worked in electrical maintenance with Elco Industries, both in St. Louis and Rockford, Illinois. Mr. Ingram was an ordained minister and was very active in church work. He was a member of West Doniphan Missionary Baptist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, especially his tomatoes, and fellowship with others. He really liked being with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
On September 20, 1958, he was married to Cleona Elizabeth Wheeler in Belvidere, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are four children; William Boyd Ingram and Raeona "Yogi" Rainbolt, both of Doniphan; Rena (and Guy) Dyer of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Ruth (and Steven) Thomas of Maryland Heights, Missouri; three sisters, Sue Gilliland of Paragould, Arkansas, Connie (and Don) Alexander of Batesville, Arkansas, and Bonnie (and Curt) Samuelson of Rockford, Illinois; three brothers, Henry (and Virginia) of Galesburg, Michigan, Willie of Senath, Missouri, and J. B. (and Mary) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren (with one on the way).
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2013, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Paul White, Director of Missions in Arkansas, officiating. Burial will be in the Belleview Cemetery.
