Obituary of Opal Kilen

Opal Kilen, 90, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, April 14, 2008, at the St. Peters Manor Care Center in St. Peters, Missouri.
Mrs. Kilen was born March 11, 1918, at Gatewood, Missouri. She was retired from Bussman Fuse Company as a factory worker. Mrs. Kilen enjoyed watching television and she loved to read.
On July 1, 1937, she was married to Curt Kilen at Doniphan. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2001.
Mrs. Kilen is survived by three sons; J. C. Kilen (and wife, Jo Ann) of St. Charles, Missouri, James Kilen of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kenneth Kilen (and wife, Carol) of St. Peters; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, James Pippin and Blanche Lamb Pippin, five sisters, Mae Todd, Fannie Lawson, Carrie Bounds, Margaret Parks and Iwilda Alderson and three brothers, Will Pippin, Henry Pippin and Paul Pippin.
Visitation will be Friday evening, April 18, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Denny Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.
