Edwin Wayne Ball, 79, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Ball was born July 2, 1928, in Coldwater, Missouri. He was a salesman for a food brokerage firm. He was also a former minister and member of the Town and Country Church of Christ in Doniphan. Mr. Ball was a retired U. S. Army veteran with 20 years of service.
On March 5, 1955, he was married to Johanna Sommerfeldt in Germany. She proceeded him in death on October 24, 1997.
Mr. Ball is survived by one daughter, Barbara Mock and husband, Jeff, of Fairdealing, Missouri, and one son, Fred Bologna of Fresno, California; three grandchildren,, Eric Buffington, Nicole Ayers and Shardee' Hector; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Urbane Sutton and Ethel Smallwood Sutton, two brothers, Junior Ball and Bob Ball, and one sister, Wanda Byrd.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 20, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jerry Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Cemetery.
