Gladys M. Larsen, 90, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on September 27, 1923, to her parents, Anna and Herbert Kirchner of Ozone Park, N.Y. She moved to Florida in 1973 from New Hyde Park, New York. She then moved to Doniphan in 2007 after her husband, William Larsen, passed away and lived with her daughter.
She loved to paint pictures of animals, portraits and scenery portraits. She gave many of her fine artwork away to friends and family.
Surviving are one daughter, Lynda Metevia and husband, Al Metevia; one son, Robert Larsen and his wife, Denise of California; grandchildren, Debra Brown and her husband, Bill Brown of Arkansas, Dennis Schwinn and his wife, Teresa, Derik Schwinn and his wife, Brandy of Florida, Bryan Larsen and Steven Larsen of California; and great-grandchildren, Chris Johnson, of Arkansas, Jenny Johnson of Arkansas, Joshua and Amanda of Florida and Katelyn and Amber of Florida. Great Great-grandson, Casen, was born on Gladys's birthday, September 27, 2012.
