Helen Jones, 91, of Oxly, Missouri, died Monday, November 4, 2013, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan, Missouri.
Mrs. Jones, daughter of Henry Burton and Dovie Ollie (Lyles) Woolard, was born December 26, 1921, in Naylor, Missouri. She was a homemaker and member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones enjoyed her home, her flowers and visiting with family.
She was married to Raney P. Jones in 1944 and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1946.
Surviving are two children: Douglas Jones of Doniphan and Constance Hoffman of Youngstown, Ohio; four sisters Evelyn Foster, Laverne Hillis, Vivian Cope and Ann Cates, five grandchildren, Douglas Jones, Jr., Scott Jones, John Jones, Kim Bour and Bill Hoffman; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Austin, Taylor, Liam, Maddie and Sean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Don and sister Hazel.
Visitation will begin at noon Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jared Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
