Dorothy Johannsen, 67, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, died Friday, November 8, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Johannsen, daughter of Claude Lee and Hazel (Coonce) Geary, was born June 19, 1946, in Qulin, Missouri. She worked in manufacturing. Mrs. Johannsen enjoyed cooking, fishing, boating, camping and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On June 11, 1985, she was married to David Johannsen in Haines City, Florida, and he survives.
Also surviving are four children: Spencer (and Tracie) Turner, Charles Turner and Joie Turner, all of Doniphan, Missouri; and Tammy (and Terry) Yarbrough of Broseley; stepchildren, Phillip (and Stephanie) Johannsen and Aaron (and Christin) Johannsen and Andrew Johannsen, all of Doniphan, and Lorenda Crane of Greenville, Missouri; one sister, Joyce (and Keith) Johnson of Cherokee Village; two brothers, Gerald (and Judy) Geary of Winter Haven, Florida, and Roy Geary of Wahneta, Florida; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Colton Spencer Turner, one great-grandson, Harlow Parsons, one step-daughter, Stacey (Jason) Ormsby, one sister, Maxine Dane and one brother, Bill Geary.
Visitation will begin at noon on Monday, November 11, 2013, in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Judy Brandon officiating. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery.
