John David Harkey, 57, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at his residence in rural Ripley County.
Mr. Harkey, son of the late David and Beulah (Kennedy) Harkey, was born August 29, 1956, in Ripley County, Missouri. He had been a forklift driver for Darling Manufacturing. Mr. Harkey loved to hunt and fish.
On October 11, 2003, he was married to Holly Drew at Doniphan and she survives.
Also surviving are two step-children, Dustin (Kayti) Davis and Jessica (Randy) Gribble, both of Doniphan; one brother, Don Harkey of Doniphan; a niece and nephew, Amber and Wes; five step-grandchildren, Jaushua, Chris, Nathan, Nick and Nolan; and good friends, Danny Mitchell and Roger Wiley.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
