Betty Jean (Sipes) Brite, 87, of Fairdealing, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Ms. Brite, daughter of Harl and Jennie (Huson) Sipes, was born August 1, 1926, in Doniphan, Missouri. She had been self- employed in real estate. At one time, Ms. Brite had worked at the Pentagon. She loved politics and was an avid reader. Ms. Brite was extremely generous and loving and very welcoming to people.
Surviving are one son, David Leigh (Skipper) Brite of Fairdealing, and many nieces she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Budge Huson Sipes and William (Todd) Sipes.
Visitation will begin on Saturday morning, March 1, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jason Jordan officiating. Entombment will be in the Doniphan Mausoleum.
