Obituary of Vesta Redus

Vesta Redus, 102, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Randolph County Home in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Mrs. Redus, daughter of William Aulton and Flora Ethel (Henderson) Tucker, was born October 14, 1911, in Tucker, Missouri. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, quilting and being with her family. Mrs. Redus was a member of the Tucker United Methodist Church. On October 25, 1930, she was married to Clarence Grace and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1939. She later married Raney Redus on December 2, 1940, and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1998. Surviving are one daughter, Geneva Cypret of Florissant, Missouri; three sons, Carmon (and Brenda) Redus, Dennis (and Carol) Redus and Lane (and Becky) Redus, all of Doniphan; 9 grandchildren, Greg Cypret, Bryan Cypret, Kim Stremming, Travis Redus, Tony Redus, Tracy Lovins, Carl Redus, Kenneth Redus and Courtney Caselman; 11 great-grandchildren, Sarah Phillips, Jane Stremming, Carolyn Best, Emily Stremming, Ryan Cypret, Michelle Cypret, Paul Cypret, Tammy Lovins, Jessica Lovins, Kenzie Redus and Clare Redus; and one sister, Ruth Roberts of Oregon. Mrs. Redus was preceded in death by her parents, spouses, two infant daughters, two sons, Glendal Grace and Duane Redus; two brothers, Freeman Tucker and Lyman Tucker and two sisters, Velma Grace and Nema Reed. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, March 11, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Wednesday morning, March 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Monty Flanigan officiating. Burial will be in the Tucker Cemetery.
