Obituary of Edna Litherland

Edna Litherland Edna Litherland, 85, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Current River Nursing Center. Mrs. Litherland was born July 15, 1921, in Alton, Missouri. She was retired from Vitronic factory. Mrs. Litherland enjoyed fishing and cooking and she especially delighted in spending time with her grandchildren. On October 28, 1941, she was married to Willard Litherland in Eminence, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1996. Surviving are two daughters, Aloma Desich and Judy Schultz of Doniphan; two sons, Willard L. Litherland of Florissant, Missouri, and Ron Litherland of DeSoto, Missouri; two sisters, Marie DeBois of Boise, Idaho,and Maxine Janssen of Theodosia, Missouri; one brother, Hardy Crews of West Plains, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Litherland was preceded in death by her parents, John Crews and Eva Ledbetter Crews; one sister, Murl Gargac; and six brothers, Benjamin Lee Crews, George Crews, John Herbert Crews, Dewey Crews, Larry Crews and Bill Crews. Visitation will be Monday, May 7, 2007, at noon at the Edwards Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Father Dave Dohogne officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
