Kenneth Eugene Nance, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Nance, son of the late Melvin and Mildred (Parish) Nance, was born September 8, 1939, in Grandin, Missouri. He had worked in sales and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Nance enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and detecting for metal. He served with the U. S. Army from 1963-65 during the Vietnam War.
On February 20, 1963, he was married to Betty McMillian in Winona, Missouri, and she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Richard Nance of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one daughter, Gina Ridlen of Doniphan; four grandsons, Bradley Elliott, Matthew Ridlen, Alex Nance and Noah Nance; two sisters, Evelyn Mayberry of Bloomsdale, Missouri, and Bernita Phelps of Ellsinore, Missouri; and one brother, Claude Nance of Waterloo, Illinois.
Visitation for Mr. Nance will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning, April 5, 2014, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Lester McMillian officiating. Burial will be in the Grandin Cemetery.
