Viola Mae Marley, 80, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Walnut Street Assisted Living in Doniphan.
Mrs. Marley, daughter of Rector and Emma (Rackley) Dale, was born February 26, 1934, in Bardley, Missouri. She had been an in-home caregiver while living in Ripley County, but she worked most of her life in Rockford, Illinois. Mrs. Marley loved to play bingo and visit the slots.
On September 29, 1956, she was married to Herman Marley, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1996.
Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Johnson (and James Tyler) of Doniphan: two brothers, Bob (and Misty) Dale of Bardley and Willard (and Carol) Dale of Doniphan; one granddaughter, Rhonda (and Anthony) Miller of Doniphan and one grandson, Randy Joe Hubbard (and Jaime); 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-newphews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Wanda Miller, Thelma Hollis and Vivian Vance; four brothers, Connie Dale, Cecil Dale, Howard Dale and Bill Dale; and one granddaughter, Denise Hart.
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, May 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.
