James Leonard (Jim) Napier, 74, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Napier was born August 4, 1933, in Doniphan, Missouri. He was an auto body repairman and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, American Legion and VFW Post #3485. A U. S. Army veteran, he served in the Korean War and several years in the National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On April 17, 1959, he was married to Barbara Ann Richmond at Doniphan, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 22, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Napier of Champaign, Illinois, and Bill (Lisa) Napier of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Trisha Napier and Kelli Napier; one sister, Anna Ruth Murphy of Punta Gorda, Florida; two special friends, Chris and Renee Hollis of Doniphan and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Napier was also preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Young Napier and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, July 24, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan.
