Donald Ronald Wilson, 69, of Doniphan, Missouri, departed this life Monday evening, July 14, 2014, at the home of his daughter in rural Ripley County, Missouri.
Mr. Wilson, son of James and Henrietta (North) Wilson, was born December 15, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, Army and National Guard. Mr. Wilson enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his grandchildren.
He was married to Gloria Litviak on January 12, 1974, in Doniphan and she preceded him in death on October 1, 1999.
Surviving are five children: James (Joanna) Wilson, Elizabeth (Brian) Schroeder and Patricia (Eric) Limbaugh, all of Doniphan, Amy (Larry) Palmer of Oak Ridge, Missouri, and Theresa (Jason) Blackburn of Aurora, Missouri; three sisters, Patsy Knight, Edna Hoel and Diane Wright; one brother, James Wilson; 13 grandchildren, Paige and Anthony Wilson, Justin, Bailey, Matthew, Kendal, Peyton and Aggie Schroeder, Logan, Jacob and Brody Limbaugh and Cooper and Parker Blackburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Carol Larson, one grandson, Chase Limbaugh, and one granddaughter, Rylee Limbaugh.
Visitation for Mr. Wilson will begin Thursday morning, July 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Beaver Dam Cemetery.
