Perry Lewis Gloyd, Jr., of Grandin, Missouri, died Sept 5, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan, Missouri.
Mr. Gloyd was born July 5, 1934, in Brown County, Ohio, to the late Perry L. and Naomi Long Gloyd, Sr. He was an auto and small engine mechanic. Mr. Gloyd enjoyed visiting with friends at the local coffee shop and watching old movies. He was in the U. S. Air Force.
Survivors include five children: Jerry Gloyd of Ohio, Russell Gloyd of Doniphan, Margaret "Peggy" Robinson of Kansas City, Missouri, Perry Gloyd III of Grandin and Kenneth Gloyd of Tucson, Arizona; four step-children: Kimberly Gugliotta of Tucson, Arizona, Robin Ulmer and Billye Voland both of Kansas and Toni Ryan of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; two sisters; Norma Flemister of Conway, Arkansas, and Betty Nause of Blanchester, Ohio; and one brother, Gabby Gloyd of Greenfield, Ohio.
Mr. Gloyd was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Carole Gloyd.
Visitation will be held Monday evening, September 8, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Tuesday morning, September 9, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at McRone Cemetery.
