One of Jeanette's favorite poems by Mary Stevenson. "FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND" One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two set of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?" The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you."

Losing a mother, sister, grandmother or close friend is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know, but Net's goodness, her caring and her wisdom live on. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us everyday, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Don't think of Net as "gone away". Think of her as "living" in the hearts of those she touched. If love alone could have saved Net, she never would have died. If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane, I'd walk the path to heaven and bring her back to you again. In my heart Net holds a place no one could ever fill. I will remember the little things, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that will help push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
