Ruby M. Rodgers, 94, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at the Colonial Home in Doniphan.
Mrs. Rodgers was born December 21, 1913, in Light, Arkansas. She was a housewife and a member of the Doniphan Church of Christ. Mrs. Rodgers loved hats, raising African violets and strawberries and crocheting.
On December 21, 1931, she was married to Roy Rodgers in Success, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 1971.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Keith, of St. Peters, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and special friends, Margaret Phillips and Sara Christian.
Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Dora (Norris) Stone; three sons, Jimmie Rodgers, Richard L. Rodgers and Douglas Rodgers; and two brothers, James Stone and Clifford Plunk.
Visitation will be at noon, Thursday, December 4, 2008, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Pope Chapel Cemetery.
