Helen Ann Hunter, 85, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Hunter was born July 20, 1923, in Madison, Illinois. She retired from Vitronic Factory in stitching and enjoyed company.
She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
On August 10, 1945, she was married to Eugene Hunter in East St. Louis, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1988.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by three daughters; Patty Hunter of Doniphan, Helen LaBryer of St. Clair, Missouri, and Dorothy Goodwin of Leslie, Missouri; one sister, Mildred Rantanan of Staunton, Illinois; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Mary Newsome.
Visitation for Mrs. Hunter will begin Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating.
Memorials may be made to Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan or Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont.
