So sorry for your loss!
J. Stuart and I were partners at JPD and when promoted, he was my Sergeant. He was very dedicated to the Officers at JPD and always mindful of their safety. Once when a mental case took his mother hostage in their home and we were about to enter the home, the suspect broke the glass in the front door and Stu sustained several lacerations in his face, nevertheless he directed us Officers until the suspect was in custody and the mother was found safe.
