Obituary of Walter James Dunn

Walter James Dunn, 58-year-old resident of Grandin, MO, departed this life Saturday, April 15, 2023. He was born July 11, 1964, in Chicago, IL, to the late Jackie Willard Dunn and Betty (Boshears) Webb.

Walter had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed dirt track racing. He was a musician and talented guitar player who often got together with friends for a jam session that could go on for hours. Walter liked to play poker with his favorite card game being Texas Holdem, and he was an avid pool player. He also liked to fish and would spend the day from dawn to dusk fishing in one of his many favorite fishing holes.

Surviving are his children, Amanda Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO, Heather (Jeff) Esmon of Corning, AR , Marcus (Alexus) Dunn of Paragould, AR, Kobi Timmons of Grandin, MO, and Aaron Ezell, also of Grandin; a brother, Jack (Rhonda) Dunn of Corning; and a special friend and life partner, Janet Buschbom; his grandchildren, Cayleigh Esmon, Carlie Esmon, Luke Esmon, Noah Esmon, Layla Leach, Melodie Smith, Jamisen Smith, Piper Dunn, Paisley Dunn, Parker Dunn, Haven Phelps, and Stephan Phelps. Also surviving are his many friends who are too countless to name them all.

Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 20, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m.
